Eliud Kipchoge is the first athlete to run a marathon in less than 2 hours.

The Kenyan athlete of the marathon, Eliud Kipchoge 35 years old, Olympic champion in Rio 2016 in the marathon, is the first person ever to run a marathon in under 2 hours. He ran a 1:59:40 in Vienna on 12th October 2019, Kipchoge ran every kilometer between a range of 2:48 and 2:52.he defeated his self to give the best performance in this discipline ever he was helped by a group of athletes during the whole race, the conditions in Vienna city were very good, which permits to kipchoge to do his utmost to achieve the goal of running a 42 kilometers and 195 meters under 2 hours.
